Location:
Brig is an Alpine town in the canton of Valais in southern Switzerland. It is located at the foot of the Simplon Pass, which leads to the Italian border. Brig is a stop on the Glacier-Express-Bahn and is known for its thermal baths, the St. Sebastian Chapel and the 17th-century Stockalper Castle. The castle was built by the merchant who made the pass a commercial route. The Aletsch Glacier and the Simplon ski resorts are very close.
